| I wanted to list one of my favorite EDC (Every Day Carry) items that I make. I've been making these since 1997 and as far as I can tell I'm the originator of this often copied item. I've seen these sell for as much as $50 on some websites and even eBay. It's made from Military 550 Paracord with the seven inner strands, this isn't the cheap stuff either. I only have the 2 colors available. OD and Black. This is one of my favorite gifts to give because it conceals itself as just a paracord key fob thats on your key ring. Hidden inside is a 1/4" x 2-1/2" FerroCerium "firesteel" flintrod, Steel blade striker, all hidden inside the paracord wrap. This isn't meant for you to go use every weekend because you have to unravel the paracord to get the flint rod out. It's for emergency and survival use. Leave it on your key chain and forget about it! It's there when you need it. I call it the EDC SPK - "Survival Paracord Key Fob" It's made with about 9-10' of paracord in 2 strands of about 4-5' in length each. I braid in such a way to conceal a 1/4" Ferrocium Flint Rod in it. Specifications: * Approx 9' of Military Spec 7 Strand 550 Lb Paracord in 2 sections, 1/4" x 2-1/2" Flint Rod & Mini Steel Saw Blade Striker Available Colors: All Black, All OD Green & Half Black Half OD Green. !!!! Just an FYI for you, I recently traveled to Jamaica & Italy over the last 2 years and had no problems with Customs with this attached to my key chain. I could see where they might take it but I took a chance and had no problems. I also keep a P38 can opener attached to mine and a mini Led Light. These can also be used for Self Defense like a Kuboton; used for stabilizing your fist, applying pressure to sensitive parts of an assailant's body, or by striking your assailant with your keys. Works better if your like me and have lot's of keys. I like it for quick access by having the fob part hang out of my pocket, I can grab it and strike really fast! These take about 20-25 mins to make each one over a 2 day period. All are made to order and MADE IN THE USA!
